Welcome to Rivers Ridge Lodge,
an unexpected sanctuary in an extraordinary, rustic setting.

With loads to do onsite, let Rivers Ridge Lodge engage your guests...
  whatever their age or inclination.

“THE RIVER” is specifically the Crooked Creek, a branch of the Catawba River.  It varies between 30-40 feet
in width and 1-8 feet in depth.  Guests have access to over 3000 feet of river frontage on the property.
We have blazed a rough walking trail (~1 mile) that closely follows the riverbank for about 1/2 mile at each end.
This river walk starts out easy and becomes moderately challenging as it travels upstream.
The kids love to search for crawdads, splash in the shallow rapids, dig in the sand
and mud on the riverbank, collect rocks and other treasures and generally stay wet!
Please fish - and grill, minutes out of the water, if you like - native Trout, Catfish and Bass.
Clean up at the outdoor bathhouse near the river.  Guests must bring fishing equipment and those ages 16 and older
must obtain a regular NC fishing license to fish our waters at Rivers Ridge Lodge
(A youth under the age of 16 accompanied by a properly licensed adult may fish without a license.)
We also offer fly-fishing instruction upon request.  For more detailed information, please click on our FLY FISHING link.

ON THE PROPERTY is a large, flat grassy area perfect for sports, a sturdy fire pit encircled by rustic bench seating,
and acres of varied forest terrain to climb and explore.  Two air-conditioned bunkhouses (the Arbor Knot and Hornet’s Nest),
located within sight of Rivers Ridge Lodge, provide a unique space for sleeping or just hanging out.

The DECK, which overhangs the river, offers 5000 square feet of relaxing, fresh outdoor space.
Enjoy the seating for 38.  Twenty-four of those seats surround circular tables for casual outdoor dining.
Relax in the hot tub, sun on the chaise lounge chairs or fire up the gas grill and cook that fresh fish you just caught.

Indoors, guests find many unique and well-appointed amenities.
The GOURMET KITCHEN’S treasure is its Aga 4 Oven Cookstove,
popular in Europe and so versatile when cooking for a crowd.
The Aga is a little different so we invite you to visit Aga’s website
for more information on how to love this exceptional appliance:  www.aga-ranges.com
Rivers Ridge Lodge also has written information about the Aga
and cookbooks onsite to help make the most of your Aga experience.

The 20’ vaulted GREAT ROOM invites all with its 16’ stone fireplace, gas logs and stylishly comfortable western décor.
The adjoining DEN offers a large screen satellite TV, DVD player, book library and board games.
It is a great place for the little ones to play while you keep an eye on them and it offers an
additional TV/DVD to watch in a space that is a bit quieter and away from the crowd.

On the lower level, guests enjoy a very casual THEATRE-BAR and adjoining GAME ROOM
You’ll appreciate another large screen satellite TV, DVD Player and XBOX (with game CD’s).
Gas logs keep you cozy and the enormous teak root bar and adjoining game room provide a great place to gather together
for hours of fun.  Entertain yourselves in the game room at the poker/bumper pool table or regulation pool table.
Full laundry facilities, ½ bath, portable phone, stereo and extra refrigerator are found on this level.
Rivers Ridge Lodge also offers free wireless high speed satellite Internet and
free long distance phone service to any state in the United States and Canada.

For complete bedroom information with photos click on our GUESTROOMS link.
Anyone in your party operating at wheelchair level will find easy access to the Kitchen, Great Room, Scuppernong Queen
Suite and deck.  The Aspen King Suite and Cherokee King Suite may be accessed (in a wheelchair) from the deck.
The lower level Theatre-Bar and Game Room may be accessed (in a wheelchair) by car from the lower driveway.
Sorry, there is no elevator to the upstairs bunkrooms.

We invite you to experience Rivers Ridge Lodge …outdoor adventure in a luxurious setting.
